Creations Teach Us

Creations can be observed and this will lead us to meditating on God. While observing the characteristics of these creations, they give us deeper understanding of who God is. God created so many things both visible and invisible from which we can learn.

God gives us eyes so we can see to appreciate Him the more.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Romans 1:20

From the text, God’s invisible attributes can be clearly perceived. That is, we can perceive them in the things God made. This gives us the assurance that meditating on God while observing His creations is biblical and we should do it.

His Eternal Power

God is eternal so is His power. This means this power cannot perish or stop working. Running through history, man has come and gone yet everyone one reasonable will agree to the fact that there is a mastermind behind the continuity of the world.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Psalm 145:13

His Dominion endures, He is eternal. He established the world. The galaxy speaks of this power because science made us to understand how vast it is.

This posed a question to us, who is the mind behind all this awesomeness? God set the world in motion everything is moving in an orderly manner. The sun, moon, stars, rain all come in their due seasons.

His Divine Nature His

God’s nature can be learnt from His creations. The nature of God namely are:

God Cannot Lie Nor Change

Consider the sun, ever since the world begun it has a fixed direction from which it rises. It can’t change, this is telling us of the immutability of God. One might say but ”there are days the sun doesn’t rise” yes and that’s is because some things necessary for its rising the next day were not fulfilled. We see this of God that though He cannot lie nor change, if we do not meet the neccessary conditions we might fail to enjoy Him.

He is Pure as in His creations

In the nature of what God created lies purity there is no mixing up. As God made them, so they are till now. We cannot find maize producing beans or yam, telling us of this purity in His nature.

God is love as seen in His creations

He gives rain to water the plants, He gives the stars names and watches over His creations. Animals cry to God for food. The Bible tells us

He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

Psalm 147:4

He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry.

Psalm 147:9

There are many others attributes of God but in this article we are to appreciate God looking at His creations, their complexities and God’s line of action. It is not that we predict God but we know what He’s up to doing in the light of His word.

As from today let us learn to create time to worship God by meditating on what He created.
