Moses Foreshadows Jesus

We have already talked about the prefigures of Jesus several times, there was also a separate teaching about them, comparing Jesus to Jeremiah, Elijah, Elisha, Joseph and Moses. We will talk about Moses again to strengthen the personality of Jesus in our imagination. If we try to imagine the person of Jesus without the Bible, then it will be highly inaccurate, since Jesus is the Word of God, so we can only know Him well through the Word of God.

Seek God according to His commandments

There is a way to worship Him. We can only worship Him in the way God has given us. There are no new ways of doing this, there are no new teachings of the Holy Spirit on this, for just as Jesus said that the Holy Spirit does not speak his own, but what Jesus said (John 16:13).

Delighting in the Law of God

If we love God more than anything, then His laws (also known as His will) become our delight, because then we no longer fulfill them because God asks of us, but because we want to fulfill them.

How old was Isaac when he was offered as a sacrifice?

According to Jewish tradition, Isaac was 37 years old, which is fully supported by the book of Jasher. But what is this book of Jasher? It is an important book because it is also referred to in the Tanach (Old Testament), namely in the book of Joshua.

The Rock

The first time Moses had to strike the rock, the second time they had to ask. It doesn’t seem like a big difference, as it had to be struck for the first time, and the end result is the same: it became water for the people. Yet this was a big difference before God so much that God did not allow Moses and Aaron into the land of promise.

Consuming Fire

Why did God appear on the mountain? To give His law to the people! And why did He appear in a fire? Because what comes from this world cannot survive the fire of God. Because there is nothing in this world that can survive in the presence of God! Therefore, we either obey His word and may have fellowship with God, or we disobey, but then His fire consumes us.

Unbelieving Believers

You must live in God’s will, walk in God’s pleasure! Those who really do so will be truly persecuted as their actions stand out from the crowd. So there are many who only practice their appearance of godliness but deny its power!

His Word is eternal

Although many believe that the Father has changed since Jesus' death and resurrection. But if God had really changed, He can change anytime again, and then our faith would not be rock solid. But the good news is that God does not change, although for many it is bad news and judgment at the same time.

How do we interpret the Word?

There were always people (and they are in majority), who interpret God’s Word based on their own beliefs, and they live and teach by this belief. But this obviously not right!
